The Biography Of Flatulated
Flatulated is a childishly obscene "DIY" one man Death Metal band out of Texas. Flatulated was created by the infamous Foul Phil who is the clinically insane mastermind responsible for that big wet turd floating in swimming pools across America. Public displays of flatulence can often be traced right back to Foul Phil who is considered an international flatus terrorist. Foul Phil is always questioned first when cases of public flatulence are confirmed. Back in the year 2000 Foul Phil was arrested and convicted of multiple counts of public flatulation and received a sentence of two to ten years in a Texas correctional facility.
After serving 2 years behind bars Foul Phil was released for good behavior and completed the remainder of his sentence on parole. Left bewildered and disgruntled Foul Phil continued to terrorize the innocent and unsuspecting public with his flatulent brand of old school death metal. Taking a strong interest in audio engineering and music production Foul Phil began recording his own music around 8 years ago. The beginning results were more than horrible and very frustrating just trying to create good sounding and quality recordings, but not being able to. So, the next step was to find courses online to learn the art of audio and it wasn't long before the certifications became a reality and Foul Phil now records all his music in his living room, in his skid-marked underwear and achieves professional results that only improve upon each release.
In 2010 Foul Phil release his first Flatulated album entitled "Tales Of The Gruesome And Horrifying" as a free download and within 4 months it had spread across the internet like a hot fart on the humid summer breeze of south Texas. Ahhhh a breath of fresh air is exactly what fans of Old School Death Metal received. To this day people continue to pass the album along to their friends, upload videos to youtube or upload and host it on filesharing websites.
Going back to the begining...
It all started in the 6th grade for Foul Phil. As a young boy Foul Phil was heavilly influenced by classic rock and then later he was introduced to punk rock and metal, but leaned more towards metal than anything else. Back in those days there were alot of things to inspire a young boy to become a metal fan. Bill and Ted, Bevis And Butthead, Airheads, Waynes World, Headbangers Ball, etc. etc. etc. It wasn't until grade 6 that Foul Phil discovered Death Metal. A fellow friend and headbanger lent him a copy of Death's Lepracy album. From that point on, no other type of music could fill the shoes of Death Metal. It was all Death Metal or nothing for many many years.
As a young teen Foul Phil had a hard time fitting into life socially and although he had made a lot of friends along the way he also managed to constantly stay in trouble. He started drinking, smoking cigarrettes and marajuana regularly at the age of 14. He even tried LSD for the first time that same year. After a climatic amount of trouble as a young teen he managed to really pull his shit together. Guitar saved his life. He got his first electric guitar on his 15th birthday and spent his days tinkering around with his guitar and amp and actually stayed out of trouble.
By the time Foul Phil was 17 he started his first Death Metal band with some of the friends he had made at school. The guys all got jobs over the summer doing landscaping and pitched in what they had earned to buy much needed equipment. They were derterminded to play some fucking Death Metal. And Death Metal was in it's prime. It seemed like there was a concert every weekend back then and they attened ever one they could. So, there was plenty of inspiration to keep them moving forward. Unfortunatly life has it's was of building obsticles and nothing more came out of the band.
The good thing is those were the glory days of Death Metal and only a fortunate few were there to remember how great of a time it was. Unforgetable memories and good times with good friends is something everyone should have the privilage of experiancing. All in the name of METAL only makes it that much more worth it. It is that foundation that Foul Phil bases his music on. He tries to instill that same nastalgia that got him into Death Metal in the first place, into his own brand of Old School Death Metal. It's that wickedly fun vibe that reguardless of how serious the subject is, you can tell it's not something that should be taken too seriouslly. Not only is it done in the name of fun, but also in the name of true Death Metal and an idea of what Death Metal should sound like...
